Commitments You Can Make This Year to Improve and Maintain Maximum Health
Studies show that nearly half of all people who make a New Year’s resolution will stick to it for at least six months and almost 10% keep the commitment for the full year. Experts say the key to keeping those promises is to be realistic and be diligent, keeping track on a daily basis.
One of the more popular New Year’s resolutions is some form of commitment to maintaining or improving your fitness or health. Here are some resolutions that you can actually keep in 2023, that will lead to better health:
- Commit to getting more exercise—It may be simply taking a walk 2-3 times a week. Exercise has been shown to improve your mental health, and it can also be a way to lose a few unwanted pounds, improve your cardio-vascular health, and help you be more active.
- Slow down a bit—The world seems to be getting increasingly hectic. That necessarily leads to stress, which can compromise your health. Take a few extra minutes in the morning and take a few breaks during the day.
- If you really want to lower your stress, limit your exposure to and intake of the news. It’s good to be informed, but it’s easy to let the news control your life. That typically leads to worry and stress over things you can’t change.
