Simple Strategies for Having a Great Time
The Texas State Fair is in full swing, running until October 23, 2022. For many Texans, it’s the highlight of the year, with great food, fun rides, arts, crafts and more. It can be a little overwhelming, though. Here are some tips to help you have the best time at the Texas State Fair:
- Avoid parking if you can—You can spend a lot of time getting your vehicle parked and walking back and forth. Consider taking the DART. You can ride right to the main gate! If you buy your DART pass on the app, you can save $2 on your admission to the fair.
- Realize that you can’t do everything in a day…or even two—The fair runs for more than three weeks…you don’t have to do everything in a day. Spend a bit more time doing fewer things and you’ll have better memories.
- Consider getting a season pass—If you plan to come back, this can be your best option, price-wise. With a season pass, you’ll also get a free Midway game, as well as the opportunity to bring a friend one day at no additional cost.
- Make certain you see the iconic exhibits—Don’t miss the things that make the Texas State Fair unique—Big Tex, the Cotton Bowl, the Midway, the 20-story-high Ferris wheel and the world’s best corn dog (at Fletcher’s)
