Why You Want to Come To Accident Centers of Texas for Treatment
You’ve been in a fender-bender, t-bone or more serious accident and you’re still in a state of shock. You’re feeling a bit of stiffness and want to take immediate and effective measures to minimize your discomfort and get back to your life. You’ve heard others talk about how much a chiropractor helped them after a car wreck, but you don’t know anything about chiropractic care. Relax! Just give us a call or send us an email and we’ll walk you through the process to wellness.
Your First Appointment
When you come in for your first appointment, we’ll start by listening. We want you to tell us, in your own words, exactly what happened, where it hurts and how your life feels different because of your injury. Then we’ll conduct a thorough exam, looking at muscles, joints, and other connective tissue. We’ll usually take x-rays, so that we can determine if you have any spinal misalignments. If we need additional information from other medical caregivers, we’ll prepare and submit requests for necessary medical records.
In many situations, we can make an immediate diagnosis and start your treatment regimen. That will typically involve chiropractic adjustments to help realign your spine. You can usually expect that you’ll need fairly frequent adjustments in the early stages of recovery and only periodic adjustments as you heal.
In some situations, we may need to review all your medical records before we can put together a program for your full recovery. We’ll schedule a follow-up appointment, where we’ll discuss our findings and get you started on the road to recovery.
